Kwon found his voice, passion and talent for leadership at Colorado State University and since then, he has actively made an impact in local politics.
At CSU, Atlas was awarded the Bruce E. Smail Diversity Award for contributions to campus inclusivity by planning and executing several campus events to raise awareness for issues like the Flint Water Crisis, the Mizzou Protest, College affordability and more. Through these team efforts, Atlas raised donations, passed landmark legislation and had many recommendations implemented by the CSU Administration.
Atlas has worked with and for Rocky Mountain Voter Outreach, Albus Brooks, Denver City Council President, State Representative James Coleman, the City of Denver Office of Economic Development, Pac/West Communications, and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet.
He serves on the Board of the Denver Metro Urban League Young Professionals and the Colorado Black Leadership Coalition

Benzel is the Founder and Owner of Diversity Dynamics, an Umbrella Corporation, established in 2007 that came with some significant life experiences. Our Vision matches Benzel’s life’s mission: One Healthy Generation of Children. Mission: To connect people, organizations and policy to achieve our vision by developing economically mobile change agents, building organizations and equity in them, and meaningfully engaging both to defragment and deeply impact our communities. By trade we are facilitators with an ability and client list from government to non-profit, to universities and corporate. We are formally trained in 5 facilitation modalities and often custom design. We use this experience to guide our Consulting work as well

Diversity Dynamics has been selected to Direct the Metro Denver Economic Equity Project (DEEP) by the Colorado Health Foundation with a goal of increasing the overall health of the African Descended community in Denver through Economic Equity… The long-term goal is for us to own our economy.
Diversity Dynamics is also developing a localized web platform which connects people online to bring them meaningfully together off-line; essentially to Connect Better. We use site tools like a community calendar, groups, a directory, and a problem solving feed to de-fragment and create a one stop destination for large percentages of consumers looking for, well, most anything in their region: Resources, information, opportunities, and organizations which are vetted as trusted, effective, and who are meaningfully contributing to the community.
Benzel also belongs to several groups such as Board President of Fatherhood Support Services, Chair of Economic Development for Denver NAACP, Denver AA Commission, Denver AA Philanthropist, Colo. Black Leadership Caucus, an Aspen Institute 2Gen Ambassador, and leads several social entrepreneurial endeavors. However; Benzel's most cherished position is that of father to his 3 amazing children: Dejave who is a Senior at Fountain Ft. Carson HS, Benzel’s “Character Rock” and an aspiring collegiate football player. Najave, who lives with him as a Sophomore at Overland HS, a phenomenally creative, highly spirited, and a track star. Then there is Benzel Amir who is extremely gifted at Hope Center’s Kindergarten and has a personality which is so entertaining most people cannot get enough of him! Often Benzel says, “Dejave saved my life, Najave saved my spirit, and Benzel Amir completed me.”
